Preaching the Gospel

“There is no salvation in any other name than Jesus Christ!” This great news motivates us as missionaries to continue to share the Gospel this summer together with Jesus Church. The last Sunday’s Jesus Revolution has been part of a special series of outreaches that is ministering to Oslo in a particular way.

As we are looking forward to a great summer team in Oslo this year, we are already on the streets preparing for the huge impact that the Gospel will have. Young people from all over will join us to reach out from 1 to 15 of August and we are certain that it will be unforgettable.

During one of the last outreaches in front of the Norwegian parliament, the Jesus Revolution teams were performing dances and drama, testifying of the great things that only a living God can do. Daniel preached the Gospel and in the same way as the Lord confirmed the message with signs and miracles in the book of Acts, we could experience one person getting healed in the streets that day.

Talking to people

God is working and is blessing the church in every word that we testify of His plan of salvation and healing. To us there is nothing more wonderful than to hear people confess with their mouth that, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe Him with all their hearts. Soon my friend, during the summer team, you will have the possibility to experience this yourself, so be ready and ask great things for we have a great God!

Street meeting in the park

We trust in a living God, a great God Who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine. Everywhere in Europe during this spring we have seen His power manifested through young Christians set on fire to bring a difference in their cities.

In a school the team visited just outside Bari more than 80 people responded to the Gospel. In the streets many youth were touched and received Jesus. Most of all it was a great time with the youth in Bethel Church so we asked them to share some thoughts and experiences.

Maria Pia, a joyful girl and very passionate about her youth group shares: “It has been a fantastic experience. The team with their enthusiasm and passion for Jesus inspired me so much. We had a lot of practical teaching, also workshops in dance and drama, but what touched me the most was to see how God could use these simple tools to speak to the hearts of people. He showed me that young people are ready to receive His Word.”

Nick, a very bold and characteristic person would say: “The week with Jesus Revolution has been so good. It refreshed us a lot hearing powerful testimonies during outreaches. In one of our street meetings I was amazed to hear the preaching of the Gospel in a ladder. It was so cool, easy to understand and so powerful.”

Miriam, a very gentle girl concludes: “God revealed many things to me and through the teaching I learned to share God in a very practical way. It was special to speak about Jesus and what He has done in our lives. I believe that this week, God has connected us with the team in a strong way. It was simply beautiful to pray and lift each other up.”

For everything to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever! Amen. (Ephesians 3:21)

Everybody is welcome to join the FACEGOD evening

The program was well organized and during the week we had different kinds of activities in the schools. We started with a small outreach at a school in the center of the town where we preached the Gospel and danced in front of 200-300 people. The day after we had a religion class in a city nearby. It was great to share our testimonies with them and tell them about our great God. After the lesson three girls wanted to receive Jesus in their hearts.

On Friday we had an evangelistic event and it was amazing to see how the youth group joined to help out with evangelizing, taking part in the different kinds of workshops we had. At the event, Daniel was preaching and twenty people responded to God and people got healed. Also people from the schools that we visited came and gave their lives to Jesus. God’s heart is beating for people! Really awesome.

The Youth is ready to reach out

On Saturday, at the end of our time in Plüderhausen the church arranged a big screen in the church where people could watch a football match. Many people came to watch the game and our team  could have a program in the breaks. Even during this evening people gave their life to Jesus and we could pray for many. God is a creative God and he can use everything, also football, to reach out to people! With His great power and together with the church, we shook the town and cities surrounding areas.

One night he was asked to be the technician in a show with dances and dramas. After meeting the guys in the show, he found out that these young people were Christians and were using their talents for God. During the event God started to work inside of him and the drama showed him everything he had experienced away from God. In few minutes Andi recognized his life and couldn’t hold back the tears.

God touched Him that night and after hearing the preaching, he took the decision to follow Jesus no matter the cost. Andi knows that it will not be easy to face all the challenges, but with God’s help he will grow stronger and will not give up until he has the complete victory!

Praying together!

Mira was without hope on that Saturday afternoon. Many problems with her family were pushing her down. Without a reason to live and without a solution for all her challenges she chose to run away from home. While she was walking on the streets she met two girls from a church and they asked her to join a show for youth with dances and dramas.

She had no idea what was waiting for her until she noticed that these people were sharing how God had changed their lives. For the first time she heard the Gospel and what Jesus had done for her on the cross. The drama touched her to tears and she realized that God was calling her to turn back home.

Isn’t it amazing how God works in our lives? Even if young people decide to escape from problems and challenges, God uses a special way to stretch His arm out and to show His love to them. This was a new beginning in the life of this girl. It was a decision that brought her home, a decision that showed her the great love of a Heavenly Father.

Street meeting in Madrid

Half a year ago we experienced the mighty hand of God during our tour in Madrid. This July we saw even bigger things taking place right in the heart of Spain! We had the possibility to stand for life on the streets and share what we have experienced in Jesus. Many heard the Gospel and they opened their hearts to receive Jesus as their Savior.

This time we had a great opportunity to encourage the youth of the church and to see how they were sharing the Gospel in the streets with great boldness. They had so much passion while they were testifying of what Jesus did for the whole world. We heard great testimonies of how God had given them new life. Regardless of their past, their lives had been totally changed and they were now serving the Lord wholeheartedly.

During the outreaches and the street meetings God was confirming His word with signs and wonders. God’s power was manifested in the city and in people’s lives. Many people got instantly healed in Jesus’ name and experienced how great our God is. A boy had pain in his broken arm and when he was prayed for the pain left right away! So many youth were touched by the Gospel and received Jesus in their hearts.

It was a great pleasure for our team to visit Madrid again. We will especially remember the quality time we had in prayer and worship together with the church. The time of fellowship brought us closer to share and celebrate the life with Christ. We love these people, their passion, their culture and hospitality, and we are truly happy to have finished well, right where we started!

The church was so encouraged by our visit so we asked them to share some of their experiences. Rachele says: “It was so good to work together and bring the Gospel to our city. The team has been helping us to evangelize and they encouraged us a lot to grow spiritually and to have a personal relationship with our Savior”.

The youth performing drama

Most of all we were happy to see the youth “walking as children of God without fault in a crooked and depraved generation, in which they are shining.” (Phil 2:15 ) It filled us with joy hearing their testimonies, in the school, in the church or in the squares of Turin. They had a strong desire to serve God and to bring the Word of Life to the lost world.

Iris shares: “God confirmed in my heart the importance of the unity among the youth. Doesn’t matter where we come from, or what language we speak, because we’re all one in Christ. Especially I will not forget the day we visited the school. It touched my heart to see all those boys and girls hearing about Jesus. I know that a seed has been planted in their hearts and it will bring fruit in the right time!”

It is truly inspiring to get to  know what the youth have on their hearts. Later on we received a message from the youth leader saying: “Thank you so much for motivating the youth. Last Saturday we went out to evangelize in the park and thanks to God we were twenty people.”
What could we add more? Glory to God!

During the time on the streets we also experienced great things with God . He was leading us in conversations and discussions and we were able to lift up the name of Jesus in the city.

On the first day we had a outreach in a skating park. Daniel was praying for two guys who had broken their arms and had a cast on. One day later he met them again in the city and both of them were good in their arms. They were healed through God´s healing power.

We had the possibility to have Street meetings all over the city and in the City center. One day we met some young guys and told them about Jesus. One guy told that a part of a roof fell on his hand, so he had pain in his wrist and could not move it properly.  One in our team laid his hand on him and prayed a simple prayer to God. Afterwards the pain was completely gone.

We had a great time with the people in the church. They got encouraged and we saw that god really changed something. We thank God for a blessed time on the streets and that we had the possibility to get to know people in the church. It was amazing to see how faithful our Lord is! Praise to HIM!

Nowadays there are many youth that want to do something cool and in the same time to use it for God and to reach their friends, but they might not know how or there are different reasons that is stopping them. But for the girls from Lillesand, a place in Norway, this is not problem at all, they are both talented and full of initiative. They have their own dance group called “Sister Act” and many of them are taking part in it. They learn different dances on with high quality and after that they show them in the church and in different places. They simply use their talents for Jesus!

It was a blessing to visit them and spend quality time together, we could hear what they think and how they encounter Jesus and to get to know them more. They are sincere with their faith in Jesus Christ! We could pray together, share the word of God with them and have a wonderful time in the presence of God!

We also had a “house-group” meeting where many people from different countries were gathered and we could share about our faith and experiences with God. There was one person who instantly got healed from pain in his back.

It is so amazing how positive everybody in the south of Norway is. They are ready to talk to you and it is not hard at all to share about what we believe in – Jesus! During the day we went out together with the evangelistic group from the local church to give out free drinks and to tell about Jesus. It is simply amazing to be out and to share about the real love, life and truth!

Together with the youth in Bari

With the desire to see a love revolution for Jesus, Marco has been praying to be part of the great plan God has for his nation, Italy. Right on time God sent him there with the Jesus Revolution team in his church in Bari. Marco started this unforgettable trip with a strong passion to be used by God, to minister to his friends and to inspire them to be on fire for Jesus.

He shares this experience to encourage you to expect great things from God: “For me this week has been so amazing and it is hard to describe with only a few words. We saw God making great things through us and the youth in the church. We were standing in unity for the same purpose, to bring the lost people of Bari home. In these seven days God showed me that people on the streets are waiting for a change in their lives.

In the same time it has been challenging to be back in my city. Mostly I was sharing the Gospel in the streets and talking to my non Christians friends about Jesus. But thank God no matter the difficulties He gave me boldness and after all, His love brings the difference. My best experience was to see more than 80 young people saying yes to God during a visit in the school.

God surprised me so much, I thought I knew the people and their mentality but I saw with my eyes that they were searching for someone to guide them to Jesus. I would like to encourage you by saying that all of us are called to bring the difference in our cities. Do not listen to what others say or think about you as a Christian. It’s more important what God thinks about you. We don’t belong to this world but to a God who is calling us to share His good news.”
