It is hard to take in what we just experienced in El Salvador.
Over Easter 2024, a Jesus Revolution team joined Empowered21 and Shake the Nations for Youth Revival events in cities across the country. It started with a kick-off in one of the largest churches in San Salvador, where the altar filled with more than 50 people seeking salvation.
The numbers
In just over a week:
- 4,411 people heard the gospel face to face
- 506 gave their lives to Jesus
- At least 215 young people were baptised in the Holy Spirit for the first time
“All the pain was gone”
At one of the Youth Revivals, Sara Langvannskåsa prayed for the sick from the stage. A young man in the crowd had nearly stayed home that night because of terrible pain in his knee, and he was wearing a support bandage. During the prayer he felt something happen in his knee, and suddenly the pain was gone. He took off the bandage and found he was completely healed. He jumped up and down on the stage while everyone thanked God.
Hungry for God
Everywhere we went, hundreds of young people came forward hungry for a touch of the Holy Spirit. We ministered to them for hours. Many wept and cried out to God, and many fell under the power of God.
Seeing youth revival first-hand in El Salvador opened our eyes again to how much the nations need Jesus Revolution. Let’s bring the gospel to the youth of the world.
